Understand AI sells self-paced online courses. Buying or using one means you agree to what's on this page. It's short on purpose.

Understand AI (understand-ai.dev) is an independent publisher of interactive courses about how large language models work, operated from the United States. You can reach us at [email protected].
Each course is a pre-made, self-paced set of web lessons. Lesson 1 of every course is free to read without buying anything. Buying a course gives you a license key that unlocks the remaining lessons of that course on this website. There is no download, no account, and no subscription — it's a one-time purchase.
We don't offer consulting, coaching, custom work, or live sessions. What you see on the site is the whole product.
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record: it takes your payment, issues your receipt, handles applicable sales tax or VAT, and delivers your license key by email. Lemon Squeezy's own terms and privacy policy apply to the checkout. Prices are shown in US dollars and may change; the price you pay is the one shown at checkout.
Your license is personal. It lets you, one person, read the course you bought for as long as the site is online, on any of your own devices. Please don't publish your key, share it publicly, or resell it. We may revoke a key that is being widely shared, but we'll try to contact you first.
Teams and classrooms: write to us and we'll sort out per-seat pricing rather than have you share one key.
Every course has a 30-day, no-questions-asked money-back guarantee. Ask on the refunds page within 30 days of purchase and we refund the full amount to your original payment method, normally within 5 business days. Lemon Squeezy may also process refunds directly under its own policies.
The lessons, text, illustrations, interactives, code and sound on this site are ours (or used with permission) and protected by copyright. You may read and use them for your own learning. You may not copy, redistribute, scrape, republish, or sell them, or use them to build a competing product. Short quotations with attribution are fine.
Where a lesson shows code, you're welcome to use that code in your own projects.
Don't try to bypass the license check, attack the site, or interfere with other readers' use of it. That's the whole list.
We work hard to make the courses accurate and clear, and we fix mistakes when readers point them out. But the site is provided "as is": we can't promise it is error-free or always available, and we're not liable for decisions you make based on it. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us for the course.
We may update the courses (they get better over time) and these terms. If we change the terms in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the new version.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
